Wyoming Migration Initiative’s New film release! “Unwired” shows people helping pronghorn after the devastating winter of 2022-23. We are thrilled to share this story of researchers, ranchers, and conservationists joining together to fix 23 miles of problem fencing, restoring 18,000 acres of habitat that had been inaccessible to pronghorn since at least the 1950s.

This film documents one of the biggest recent conservation successes in Wyoming for the troubled species. It’s proof that when we learn from the animals and work together, people can make a huge difference for wildlife. We hope you will find it inspiring.

Pronghorn and their habitat face immense challenges in the coming future.

Let’s give Pronghorn and their habitat a voice.

Positive change through conservation is possible.

“The Pronghorn is the most characteristic and distinctive of American game animals. Zoologically speaking, its position is unique. It is the only hollow-horned ruminant which sheds its horns, or rather the horn sheaths. We speak of it as an antelope, and it does of course represent on our prairies the antelopes of the Old World; but it stands apart from all other horned animals. Its place in the natural world is almost as lonely as that of the giraffe.”
