It all began with a shared interest and a desire to act.
Pronghorn are underrepresented in the conservation space. We wanted to change that. With immense challenges on the horizon for Pronghorn and their habitat, we felt this couldn’t wait any longer.
In July of 2024, articles of incorporation for the “North American Pronghorn Foundation” were filed. A short time later, a group of interested sportsmen joined together to build out the vision and identity of NAPF. A GoFundMe campaign was started with a fundraising goal of $10,000 to be used as seed money to stand up the organization. That goal was met in 30 days and total funds raised through that campaign went over $11,000!
With that initial seed money, we’ve created a website and an online store, designed and ordered NAPF merchandise, purchased shipping materials and promotional banners for events, and we still have money left over to start using for other fundraising activities and project funding.
While nothing moved as fast as we had hoped, we are proud to bring you the only conservation organization on the continent focused entirely on Pronghorn and their habitat throughout North America.
